What is Restylane Lyft?

Formerly known as Perlane, Restylane Lyft is an FDA-approved filler that uses hyaluronic acid to add volume to the face and hands. A tiny dose – only 0.3% – of lidocaine is added to Restylane Lyft, in order to minimize any potential discomfort during the procedure. It’s important to note that hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the body, and is tasked with locking moisture in and maintaining the skin healthy and hydrated. This, combined with its non-invasiveness nature, makes Restylane Lyft one of the best, safest, and most effective ways to restore a more defined, youthful look to cheeks, nasolabial folds, and hands.

What is Restylane Lyft Used for?

Over the course of time, our skin loses its natural elasticity and its ability to produce collagen – an essential substance that contributes to keeping our complexion looking and feeling young and healthy. This can gradually generate volume loss across different areas of the face as well as the hands, resulting in tissue atrophy. This is where a Restylane Lyft treatment can help. In particular, Restylane Lyft works great in these regions:

  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Mandible (the lower jaw area)
  • Glabella (the area between the eyebrows)
  • Forehead
  • Perioral region (the area around the mouth)
  • Periorbital region (the area around the eyes)
  • Temporal region

What Kind of Results Can I Expect?

One of the best things about Restylane Lyft is that you will notice improvements straight away. For example, you can expect to see plumper skin – in the areas that received treatment – as well as a more youthful-looking complexion.

Longer-lasting results should be visible around four weeks after your treatment and should remain noticeable for up to a year post-treatment for facial treatments and six months for hand treatments.

What is the Treatment Like?

As always, before you schedule your first Restylane Lyft session, it’s vital that you arrange a consultation with our trusted professional, Dr. Learn. During this appointment, Dr. Learn will go through the procedure with you, outlining benefits and potential risks or side effects, as well as asking you what your goals and expectations are. This is also a great opportunity to let Dr. Learn know if you have any specific allergies or medical conditions, or if you have recently undergone surgery. Once Dr. Learn gives you the green light, you can book your first treatment session. Before your session, it’s important that you do not take any blood-thinning drugs, specific vitamin supplements, or topical retinoids.

Starting a few days before your appointment, remember to stop drinking any alcohol, and do not wax or bleach the area that you are going to treat. The treatment itself is very easy and almost entirely pain-free. Once you sit down in one of our office’s treatment rooms, Dr. Learn or one of the medical staff will proceed to cleanse the area that will receive the Restylane Lyft injection. Then, Dr. Learn will perform the injection itself, following up with a gentle massage of the injected area to ensure even distribution of Restylane Lyft. In total, you can expect the procedure to last around 20 minutes, unless you are treating several areas during the same session.

Why Choose Restylane Lyft?

One of the main reasons why so many men and women choose Restylane Lyft to enhance the volume and texture of their faces and hands is the fact that its active ingredient – hyaluronic acid – is a completely natural substance that occurs in our body. Restylane Lyft also has a more viscous texture, which helps it penetrate deeper into the skin and therefore achieve much more effective results. The lifespan of a Restylane Lyft treatment is another excellent reason to choose it, as its results can last up to 18 months.

Want to Know if Restylane Lyft is Right for You?

If you have moderate-to-severe wrinkles, fine lines, and facial folds, you might be a good candidate for Restylane Lyft. Similarly, this treatment is a great choice for those people who do not want to undergo an invasive surgical procedure, as Restylane Lyft is incredibly safe and only minimally invasive. However, patients with specific severe allergies – including an allergy to the anesthetic agent lidocaine – and those with blood clotting disorders are advised not to undergo this treatment.
