Neck Slimming Tips to Toss Those Turtlenecks

by | Feb 19, 2016

It’s never turtleneck season in Florida! Even in the winter, the weather is fairly warm, but if you feel like you’d rather be uncomfortably sweaty than allow your neck to be exposed for all the world to see, stop hiding it and start exercising those neck muscles that tend to get looser with age! Here are some neck slimming tips to help you toss those turtlenecks for good!

Get ready to rotate. Looking straight ahead, turn your head to look over your right should, return to center, then look to the left.

Try a Little Tilting. Tilt your head to the side, so that your ear is almost touching your shoulder, hold, switch to other side, and repeat.

Keep Your Chin up. Look upward toward the sky. While you hold it, think about how nice it will be to enjoy our beautiful Florida weather when you’re not overheating yourself with those scarves and turtlenecks you’ve been hiding behind!

Eat Less, Move More. Truth be told, the best way to get back the slender looking neck of your youth is to lose overall body weight, so a healthy diet and exercise is key!

Stop the Sagging. Skin loses elasticity as it gets older, causing it to sag, but you don’t have to live with it!  Dr. Lisa J. Learn offers several procedures that can help. A neck lift can remove excess skin and tighten the underlying muscles. Liposuction can remove fatty tissues in the neck, as well as the chin—Bonus! There are also skin resurfacing techniques that can make a big difference, too.

So, if the skin on your neck looks as old and saggy as an actual sea turtle’s neck, you don’t have to hide it. There are plenty of ways to get a slender looking neck that you’d be happy for all to see!
