Revitalize Your Skin

Using the newest innovative technology, Dr. Learn can help you achieve healthier, younger-looking skin with the following procedures:

  • Laser skin tightening
  • Laser skin resurfacing

Why Choose Laser Skin Tightening?

Dr. Learn uses patented THERMIsmooth® laser skin tightening technology. Here’s why patients love it:

It’s non-invasive

No surgery is needed for radiant, youthful skin. Laser skin tightening is a safe procedure with minimal risk for complications. What’s more, there’s no downtime required after this procedure. You can get back to your normal activities almost immediately.

Some people experience slight redness or superficial swelling immediately after the procedure, but these effects generally disappear within 24 hours.

Long-lasting results

Your body increases collagen and elastin production for a long time after treatment. Typically, maximum results are seen around the 6-month mark, but improved skin appearance can last for several years.

Results will also vary based on factors such as lifestyle, health, age, etc.

Fast and convenient

Innovative THERMIsmooth® technology achieves noticeable results with just one 30-minute treatment. However, a few treatments may be necessary to achieve optimal results.

Pain-free

The temperature-controlled THERMIsmooth® handpiece monitors skin’s surface temperature to ensure your safety and comfort. Most patients report that this procedure feels like a warm massage.

How Does THERMIsmooth® work?

As we age, our skin loses the ability to produce new collagen and elastin– the proteins responsible for giving skin its elasticity, making it appear plump and youthful. By age 30, your collagen production has already dropped by 25% and you’ll start to notice sagging and fine lines. Collagen and elastin production continues to decrease as we age and our bodies even start breaking down our existing supplies.

That’s where THERMIsmooth® face comes to the rescue. THERMIsmooth® is a non-invasive laser skin treatment that uses radiofrequency to target deep layers of skin and promote collagen production.

During the procedure, a temperature-controlled handpiece is moved in small, circular motions over your skin’s surface to target problem areas and improve facial contouring. In other words, THERMIsmooth® helps restore your skin’s proteins, making it appear remarkably tighter and younger. After just one laser treatment, you’ll look naturally refreshed. However, it typically takes 3-6 months to see the full results.

The benefits of laser skin tightening last a year, but regular treatments and a good skincare routine can prolong your results. In some cases, patients experience swelling and bruising, but these tend to be minor and do not last more than 3-5 days.

Why choose laser skin resurfacing?

While skin tightening targets deeper layers of your skin (dermis and subcutaneous), laser skin resurfacing targets both the outer layer (epidermis) and deeper layers to remove damaged skin and boost collagen production.

Dr. Learn’s laser skin resurfacing treatment uses short bursts of concentrated light to vaporize the outer layer while stimulating new cell production.

As the treated area heals, you’ll start to see new, healthy skin emerge!

What Does the Laser Resurfacing Process & Recovery Entail?

Typically, laser skin resurfacing takes around half an hour, depending on how many areas you are having Dr. Learn treat for you. As an example, you can improve the skin around your lips or eyes—or perhaps even the entire general appearance of your face—in that timeframe. The Claro2 laser—the most innovative technology possible for these kinds of procedures—that Dr. Learn uses provides your results in a comfortable manner (with little or no anesthetic necessary) and with virtually no downtime following the procedure.

As can reasonably be expected, treated areas of your skin will be covered and protected with bandages. Once 24 hours have passed following your procedure, you will need to start a regimen of cleaning treated tissue four to five times daily. In doing so, you will also apply petroleum jelly (to minimize any potential scabbing). For more details about post-procedure instructions, we have a of guides for you:

If you experience swelling, propping your head up on an extra pillow can help, along with ice and medication.

You might also notice a slight itching or stinging sensation, and after about a week, your skin may become dry and start to peel. Although there can be a slight degree of discomfort and redness, you can return to your normal activities at any time. The healing process takes a few weeks, and any redness will gradually fade in two to three months.

It is important to protect your skin during healing—use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Stay out of the sun between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m., and when you are out, wear long-sleeved shirts and a wide-brimmed hat. Also, be sure to keep your new, rejuvenated skin moisturized.
